ABOUT LITTLE REE JEWELRY

Little Ree Jewelry is a one-woman show. I specialize in handcrafted sterling silver, fine silver, copper and gold jewelry, featuring high-grade, semi-precious stones and beads from reputable US-based lapidarists and bead vendors. Each piece is created with natural metals, gorgeous gemstones and a lot of love. I also use chakra principles to create jewelry infused with beauty, positive energy and protection for the wearer.

 

My shop was named in honor of my late kitty daughter, Reeses Ferguson.  I took one look at her and thought she had the coloring of a Reese's peanut butter cup.  Sadly, she left me on March 22, 2015, but in my mind, she isn't gone, she's just telecommuting from heaven...and supervising my work.

ARTIST BIO

I discovered my love of jewelry making in 2017, following a surprising corporate lay-off.   For the first time in decades, I had a lot of free time and I was absolutely climbing the walls with boredom while looking for a new day gig. I  started off beading and wire-wrapping, then graduated to metalsmithing in late 2018.   I knew I had found my heart's passion.

As far back as I can remember, I have been enchanted with semi-precious stones and sterling silver jewelry.  I remember my mother (a painter) "dragging" me around San Francisco to various arts and crafts festivals where passionate artisans plied their trade. Little did I know, I'd one day join their ranks.  I'm truly honored to call myself a metalsmith.

In my free time, I enjoy trying new restaurants, watching true crime shows, and accosting dogs on the street for smooches.
